Currently reading and flicking through...

A lot of the books I am reading right now are really amazing, and everyone must read at least one them sometime on their life.

With the text written by Banksy himself, this is a witty, thought provoking book that accompanies some amazing artwork.

This next book i received as a gift and was averse to starting it due to complaints by students in the teen genre, however I finally started and although its a hard read, it's a good one.

This book will always be a favourite. A gorgeous love story.

Another gift, this book explores great Pop Art works from amazing artists. Perfect for art history and art students.

This next book was my first Banksy book, and helped me to understand the concept of art holding political messages, as well as accepting not all art is on a canvas.

And lastly for the traveller, architectural sketches are displayed long side maps to allow the reader a sense of what walking in London might truly be like.

I apologise for the horrendous photos and hope you enjoy this books as much as I am.
Reading six books at once is tricky, but I'll get there eventually.

Shopping List

In my winter blues, I've been craving some clothing items, which (in my fantasy) I'd wear during festival season.

Topshop Dungarees

These particular dungarees wouldn't be my first choice, however the ones I do like have been sold out and these Topshop ones are the closest I can get to the originals.

Nasty Gal Mint Maxi Skirt

I have been in love with this skirt forever, as pastels, chiffons and maxi skirts are favourites of mine.
Topshop Multi-tone Platforms

Once again, not my first choice. This style is correct however instead of orange I much prefer fully white.

Etsy Vintage Playsuit

I have been eyeing up this playsuit for a while now and waiting until it goes down in price before purchasing.

Etsy Violet Crown

Love these.

Glassons Escape Lookbook (Left Outfit)

Although I'm not a fan of combing stripes and spots, this model pulls it off well. I would purchase both top and shorts, but probably would not wear together.

Glassons Escape Lookbook (Left Outfit)

The dress on the left model is a winter pick of mine that is currently not in stock.

Wildpair Headpiece

Jewelry headpieces are a favourite of mine. I love the bohemian look they give off.

Princess Polly Jellybean Jelly Shoes

Usually I'm not a fan of jelly shoes, as they remind me a little too much of my childhood, however these ones and the black ones look striking and I love the idea of being able to see through the shoes.

Summer 2012/13

Today was one of the coldest days so far this year. I cannot help but dream of summer, by far the best of my life.
I don't know how many of you know much about NZ beaches, but I really love them. This summer I was lucky enough to divide my time between Whangamata and Pauanui.
New Years I spent at Whangamata, a popular beach destination around this time. Me and my friends hired out a bach and spent ten days swimming and sun bathing and op shopping and it was magical.
Pauanui is a beach that is popular with older people, and is a really tiny town, with a waveless beach. It sounds terrible but I stayed at one of my closest friends house there and it was better than New Years. We saw a shark while ocean kayaking (eep!) got terribly sunburnt and just relaxed before school started again.
These holidays were some of the happiest of my life and I felt I should share.

Beautiful day at Whangamata

The town is small but spread out, so Beth (left) and I (right) bike into the shops

Me.

Currently my day has been filled with essay writing and career plans. Both of which I am unsure of.

My name is Brenna, I am sixteen and a terrible driver.

My star sign is the Taurus (take what you will from that), and this is intended as an introductory paragraph to my blogspot although it is late and I'm likely to go off on a tangent.

I love pastel colors and my birthday is in May, so that is unsurprisingly my favorite month.

I live in the city that is mocked by the rest of the country, in a country that is mocked by the rest of the world. That's Hamilton, New Zealand.

I prefer round sunglasses and when I'm in summer I long for winter and when its winter I long for summer. Its currently winter and I'm losing my tan at an exponential rate.

My tumblr is mildstorms.tumblr.com and my twitter is twitter.com/Brenna_Mckenzie

I love op shops, vintage clothing and fruit. But not apples.
